Long time no talk! The past few weeks have been incredibly busy as we gear up to leave for Africa so it has been hard to find time to sit and write up a post. I had the chance to visit Interlaken and Bern, Switzerland a few weekends ago. This past weekend was one of my favorites. My sister Devin had a work trip and was able to squeeze in a weekend with me in Vienna, Austria. We did a whole lot of walking and saw as much as we possibly could all weekend between churches, palaces, and waffle places 🙂

Tomorrow I head off to Africa for the next month. I will be ‘off the grid’ and then will return to Lugano for a few days before I head home to the states. I will be in Rwanda working with an NGO which is in charge of an orphanage and a school. I will be in a group of 9 VT students teaching english, other lessons, and playing sports and other activities with them. Our weekends will be filled with a safari, a retreat, the Rwandan Genocide Museum, and meeting a survivor who wrote a book we read. I am extremely excited for my time in Africa and I cannot wait to share my pictures and experiences when I return.
Happy early thanksgiving 🙂 Catch ya in a month!
Great pic of the sisters! Prayers for your safe travels and experiences in Rwanda, looking forward to hearing all about it when you get home! What an adventure!
